There are always jobs listed in the various online ads and sites.  Most of these listings are scams and get you nowhere but on the losing end of the “nominal fee.” 

I have searched, I have brainstormed my talents and skills.  I have come up empty.  Maybe. 

There is a product that hasn’t really saturated this area (that I know of) and so I am thinking of starting up with them.  It is a company that I learned of through Chuckie’s teacher.  The products make sense and the cost is not very high at all.  It is much less than Partylite, Tupperware or any of the other big name “at home party” businesses.  Does it involve me doing home parties? Yes but that isn’t too much of a problem…I would be setting my days/hours. 

There is a startup fee but it isn’t outrageous and you do get a lot for what you are paying.  I don’t want to mention the product just yet…unless you ask me, of course.

Weighing my options for now and wondering how long I should wait before I make a decision.  The problem with waiting sometimes is that other people in this area could start up and take away the business that I could be getting while I am making my decision.  That would suck.  I looked online and found only 3 other people in the region that sell this product.  That isn’t bad at all. 

Oh to dream that I could (if I do well) start working from home and not be getting up at 4:30am for a job that drives me nutty!

We all have been inside so much, we need the sunshine and warmer weather to help us along to bring back that cheerfulness that we used to have. 

The temperature here is going to be up in the next five days and I cannot wait.  This doesn’t mean that we are done with the snow completely but I will take it while it’s here! 

I have been in a rut myself for several different reasons but things will get better and soon enough the sun will be here on a daily basis and we can shed the layers of coats, hats, gloves scarves and enjoy what Mother Nature brings us!! 

I have begun tanning at a salon (I know it is bad for me, please don’t yell at me for it!) and it has helped me to lie in the warmth and relax after a long week at work. 

I cannot wait to be able to sit in the real sunlight and soak in those rays.  I am trying to firm up and tone my body for those days though! 

I haven’t weighed myself in awhile but I am trying to lose at least ten pounds (yes, I have gained that much since last July) and get back to where I was.  This winter has been tough on me and the weight loss journey.  I am back to going to the gym at least twice a week and I need to up that to at least three days.   The good thing is that I have done it before and I know I can do this again. 

I need my willpower to get to where it needs to be first though.  I need to cut out the pop drinking and drink more water.  It is hard for me at work where the food options are plenty and we have every kind of pop you can imagine! 

Anyway, I will get back the body I had and rock it again this summer!!  Oh yes, I will!

Work has been crazy and I really thought that the supervisor position would be coming my way, it hasn’t.  Management decided to take a little longer to decide on the position and so I figured that I still had a chance at it.  They still haven’t said what exactly is going on with the spot but I did hear from a very reliable source that one of the cashiers is going to be the new catering supervisor.  Yes, you read that right, a cashier, who is not in the catering department or has ever worked in the catering department for my company (she does catering for another company) has been given the opportunity.  Part of me feels like I’ve been slapped in the face while the other part of me is sort of happy I didn’t get it.  This means that I will have no extra responsibilities, won’t have to travel for meetings, won’t feel obligated to do more than what I do now.  In fact, I will be doing less than what I am doing now.  However, at the same time, they are giving the position to someone who doesn’t know how to do any of the paperwork or computer work for the catering department that I do and have been doing for weeks.  She also doesn’t have the rapport that I do with all of the admins in the building.  It is just a surprise more than anything. 

We are looking for a new place to live, to rent for now.  We were supposed to buy this piece of crap that we are living in now and we were going to fix it up and save major money but now our landlord is being a major douchebag and we are no longer buying it and we are looking to rent a house in the area.  Unfortunately, we are still not ready to buy a house and so we are needing to rent.  Rental properties are very expensive in this area too so we are hoping to be able to save up some money while renting or to find a rent-to-own property.  We are bummed about this whole ordeal but we are ready to move on and deal with whatever we need to deal with in order to get to where we need to be.  Our landlord has gone back on his word regarding several issues and it is clear that he wants us out so that he can pull this trailer and put in a newer one.  Whatever.  We are hoping to move sometime within the next six months…the sooner the better!

Regarding work, Chuck and I were talking and there are a few issues with my work that have me upset..it has nothing to do with the supervisor position.  After talking about this on several occasions, Chuck and I decided that it might be better for me to either see if I can work three days a week or to find a job where I can work part time.  It is really taking a toll on our family for me to work five days a week, fall asleep early in the evening and lacking on getting the house in order.  I don’t have the time for the kids like I used to and it has taken a toll on them as well.  I also signed Lincoln up for preschool in the fall so starting in September, he will be going to preschool on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  It would be ideal if I could work three days at my current job but if it isn’t feasible for management to allow me to do that, then I will be finding another job with part time hours. 

There are so many changes going on right now and it is consuming a lot of my mind lately.  So I haven’t been online communicating with a lot of people because I am trying to spend more time with the family and salvage the things that have been turned upside down. 

Life is tough but, together, we are getting through it.

I am just thrilled with them so far and I don’t even have them yet!  She shipped them today and I am hoping to have them at the beginning of next week!  They don’t have to go too far so hopefully the shipping won’t take too long.

I was originally hired to be a caterer, but started out as a cashier.  When a catering position opened up, I fought for the position and I got it.  Things were going along  just fine. 

Some of the caterers quit and we were down to only two of us in the catering department and as I have mentioned before, things got tougher and I was faced with some problems and obstacles that I chose to let go. 

I chose to suck it up and go along with the daily crap that I was dealing with.  With this decision came a ton of chaos and frustrations. 

Now, life at work has taken another twist and, hopefully, I will find out tomorrow if I have turned the corner to a better position within the catering department.

The supervisor is no longer there.  I am currently taking on her duties along with mine.  Today was the first day that I have had any help with my job.  The duties are back to being between two people.  I couldn’t be more relieved to have someone to work along with that actually cares, can focus on the job and does her part to get the job done.  It is refreshing!

That supervisor position is now open and today I learned more about the job and talked to clients.  Tomorrow I meet with the Catering Director about what is happening and I am crossing my fingers that an advancement may come along. 

If not, I will continue to do my job to the best of my abilities as I have been doing since day one. 

Life at work has been interesting, to say the least.  I am hoping for more stability and more calm during my days. 

I also pray for my friend, who has gone down a wrong path and will hopefully be okay.  I really do.  I cannot get ahold of her and I am genuinely worried for her.  As much frustration as she caused, she remains a friend and I cannot help but think of her and how much things have changed for her.

He didn’t get me an engagement ring, it just wasn’t important back then.  It really isn’t important now but the diamond ring was something that I always wanted, I can’t lie about that!

I would see my friends or family members with their beautiful rings and wish that I had gotten one of my own.

This year, Chuck decided that I needed that diamond ring.  This past summer, we celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary and he said that this year I would be getting my diamond ring.

I have been looking all over the place for a ring.  I thought I knew what style I wanted, I changed my mind five thousand times and then last week, I finally picked a ring and Chuck had to force me to order it. It is my anniversary/Valentines Day gift.  Yes, I ordered my ring online instead of going to the store to pick it out.  It is so very modern of me! haha!

It has three bigger stones in the center and eight smaller stones on either side.

The smaller ring is my anniversary ring that he bought me a few years ago.  I love my new ring!  I just keep looking at my hand in amazement at the sparkle!

I am usually not this superficial, I swear!  I am usually the frumpy mom in the corner avoiding eye contact with anyone because I am wearing sweats, no makeup and messy hair! 

I just can’t help but be giddy about this. 

 I love my husband and he has provided me more happiness than any diamond ever could.  I am so lucky to have this wonderful man love me and want me to have this.  Thank you, baby!

Oh, and by the way, for his birthday/Valentines Day, he went and bought himself a 55″ TV!!  Yes, we are spoiled but this doesn’t happen very often for us.

I looked online for awhile before it dawned on me to check out Etsy.  This is what I found:

A set of four stackable rings with our names and dates on them.  The rings will have each child’s name and birthdate and then the last one will have Chuck and my name and our marriage date on it.  I am so thrilled to get them and it will take about two weeks for her to finish them.

I cannot wait to see them and wear them and have my family close to me always.

We are in so much trouble with this one.  I know that this is very disrespectful on Lincoln’s part but my husband is a huge softy and let him get away with talking to him like that.  He will definitely be regretting that later on down the road.
