Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend…or Something Like That.
When Chuck and I got married, we didn’t do the big wedding, we didn’t do the whole long engagement and all the things that most couples do.
He didn’t get me an engagement ring, it just wasn’t important back then. It really isn’t important now but the diamond ring was something that I always wanted, I can’t lie about that!
I would see my friends or family members with their beautiful rings and wish that I had gotten one of my own.
This year, Chuck decided that I needed that diamond ring. This past summer, we celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary and he said that this year I would be getting my diamond ring.
I have been looking all over the place for a ring. I thought I knew what style I wanted, I changed my mind five thousand times and then last week, I finally picked a ring and Chuck had to force me to order it. It is my anniversary/Valentines Day gift. Yes, I ordered my ring online instead of going to the store to pick it out. It is so very modern of me! haha!
Here is a picture of my new beauty:

It has three bigger stones in the center and eight smaller stones on either side.
The smaller ring is my anniversary ring that he bought me a few years ago. I love my new ring! I just keep looking at my hand in amazement at the sparkle!
I am usually not this superficial, I swear! I am usually the frumpy mom in the corner avoiding eye contact with anyone because I am wearing sweats, no makeup and messy hair!
I just can’t help but be giddy about this.
I love my husband and he has provided me more happiness than any diamond ever could. I am so lucky to have this wonderful man love me and want me to have this. Thank you, baby!
Oh, and by the way, for his birthday/Valentines Day, he went and bought himself a 55″ TV!! Yes, we are spoiled but this doesn’t happen very often for us.

I think it’s fabulous
You guys deserve some fun things! I’m with you on the fancy ring, I’m not one for lots of jewelry (though I’ve been ‘dabbling’ a little bit more lately) but I’ve always loved having my diamond on my hand. Makes me feel so fancy!

Wow, it’s gorgeous! After ten years together, he obviously thinks you deserve it for being such a great wife and mother to your kids… so enjoy that sparkle!

Awwww. Look at Priscilla’s sexy hand. lol Your ring is beautiful. It really is. I like it a lot. I am like you. I didn’t do the big wedding thing, or the engagement. Heck, I still don’t have a ring so maybe in ten years I can look forward to getting a rock as big and nice as yours. You have good taste. lol I might need to call on your advice.
Take care,
Shynea
