Two

That’s what I am trying to teach Lincoln to respond with when we ask him how old he is.  My little peanut baby boy is turning two tomorrow (Tuesday) and I can hardly believe it.  I am sad about him leaving his baby days behind and moving forward in toddlerdom.  How in the world did we get to this point?  Where has all the time gone?!

Lincoln is our little fireball.  He is so smart, funny and so spoiled that he has a horrible temper.  He gets into trouble more than the other kids in the house.  He is bossy and likes to tell everyone what to do, including his parents!  He is a blast to be around though with his very expressive facial expressions.  He will roll his eyes at you, ask you if you “wanna fight?” and say “blesh you” when you sneeze.  He knows to say please and thank you when it is appropriate and will snuggle with you when he’s sleepy.

Most people know that Lincoln was our only planned baby.  That doesn’t mean that he is loved any more than the other two but his baby days and days now are special because we knew what to expect and appreciate a little more the days that we have with him.

He loves his brother and sister so much.  He wants to do everything that Chuckie does and even though Chuckie gets sick of it, he does love that Lincoln idolizes him.  He sees Jada as a second mommy in command.  When he gets yelled at, a lot of times he goes to her for comfort.  She takes such good care of her boys, too.

I am looking forward to the next year in my baby’s world.  He is growing smarter and more fun every single day and he provides us with laughter and happiness everyday.  I could not imagine our lives without him.  We spent six years as a family of four and I wasn’t sure how it would be with five of us but I must say that it’s the best decision we’ve ever made.  He has enriched our family so much.

Happy birthday to my bubby.  I love you and I hope you love being a part of our family as much as we love you.  Thank you for all the joy you bring us.  Our family would not be complete without you in it.

Next time when I ask you how old you are…..say “two!”
