Wednesday (well, make it Thursday) Weigh-In
So, I’m a day late, shoot me! I have been sick all this week so my mind is a little off. Monday night I had a fever of 102 degrees and since then, I am left with an awful cough and stuffy nose. I haven’t gone to the doctor because I am stubborn but I decided that if my cough is still bad tomorrow, I will go in.
Anyway, on to the weigh-in…..
I hadn’t gone to the gym since last Wednesday because I had things to do since then and then I got sick and couldnt’ breathe well enough to go. I dragged myself there yesterday to, at the very least, lift weights. I was planning on just walking on the treadmill to do some cardio without overdoing it. Well, I ended up running for six minutes. Actually, it was a very slow jog but it was enough to really mess me up. I know I shouldn’t have done it but I did. I think that’s where the cough is coming from. It wasn’t this bad until I pushed myself to jog while sick! Dumb, and I regret it!
Last week, I decided to cut out all drinks except water and two cups of coffee a day. I thought it would be harder for me than it was. We even went out to eat a few times and while everyone else was getting Coke or root beer, I got either Minute Maid lemonade or water!! I was strong enough to resist the pop! I have to say that this surprised me. Also, at work where I always drank pop, I had my bottles of water! So proud of myself for that. It’s a small step but a step in the right direction.
So, along with being sick, I have hardly been eating. This is how my eating has been going:
Sunday: ham and cheese sandwich, small salad, 2 cookies, water
Monday: ten french fries, water
Tuesday: french fries, water, three cookies
Wednesday: grilled cheese sandwich, taco dip with tortilla chips, 2 cookies, water
So, my diet has been awful and I’m completely sure that is where the weight loss has been coming from, not so much from working out!
I can’t say that I will be too surprised when I step on the scale next week and have a gain. After I start eating normal again, it would be natural for a gain. I’m just hoping that it isn’t a big one!
Sooo….my weight loss this week……
FOUR POUNDS!! I am down four pounds!
My weight is down to 140 now and I couldn’t be more excited. I am still hoping to get down another ten pounds by May 17th…the day we leave for vacation. I am still pretty optimistic about it too.
When I tell people that I want to lose this weight, they don’t get it. I guess that maybe I don’t look as heavy as I am. I don’t know. I see myself naked so I know that I need to lose it! But, for my height 5’3″, I need to be at a lower weight.
We’ll just see what that scale says next week!

That is awesome girl. Don’t question where the loss comes from, hehe (I lost 3 pounds the week I had the stomach flu, I just went with it, figured it was my reward for being so disgustingly ill!) Keep up the workouts, you’ll be sexxay by beach time!
